Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are an integral part of the YMCA's ability to succeed at diversity and inclusion in the 21st Century. They create a forum for generating innovative solutions that address issues within our Associations and the communities they serve. ERGs (aka affinity groups, resource groups) also serve as a resource to identify and overcome obstacles viewed as organizational barriers to inclusion and to the productive performance of the organizations' members. ERGs operate on the fundamental tenets of inclusion and cultural competency. They are open to all staff for participation in membership and membership activities. Affinity Groups do not advocate for individual social, political, or religious groups.
